Exile218 – Marla's Time Travel

Today is day 218 of my exile.
Exile 218.

Two thousand eighteen.

The year is marked by increasing tensions within Europe and a growing fragmentation of political landscapes. While economic stability remains intact in some areas, political processes come under greater pressure and reveal the limits of collective action.

In Germany, domestic political conflicts move more strongly into focus. Debates over migration, security, and political direction lead to open tensions within the government. At the same time, differences between East and West become more visible again, both in social sentiments and political preferences.

Europe as a whole faces challenges arising from differing interests. Questions of border control, migration, and national sovereignty shape the discussions. In several countries, political forces are gaining influence that seek to change or question existing structures.

Internationally, the situation remains tense. Trade conflicts between major economic blocs are increasing, particularly between the United States and China. At the same time, conflicts persist in various regions, with no quick solutions in sight.

This year shows that stability depends not only on economic factors, but also on internal cohesion.
Exile 218.
A year in which tensions do not erupt, but instead continue to build slowly.

2018 brings growing tensions. Germany under political pressure, Europe divided. The world continues to drift apart.
