Cat Album #15 – Kneading, Needle Snow, and Two Very Different Mornings

We got up early today.
Very early.
Five o’clock.

Technically: me.
Practically: Minna.

Adi was still half asleep.
The big guy is not a fan of haste in the morning.
He thinks the day can wait.

Not Minna.

Minna came straight onto my face.
Then onto my neck.
Then onto my chest.

And then it came:
the kneading.

This stamping that cats do, ever since they’re babies.
Pressing, stepping, kneading—
as if they still needed milk.

Minna extends her claws while doing it.
You inevitably wake up.
Not gently.
But clearly.

Outside, it’s snowing again.

Not pretty snow.
No big, fluffy flakes.
No snowman snow.

Fine.
Grainy.
Like needles in your face.

The kind of snow that isn’t quiet,
but stings.

Minna wanted food.
And she wanted the day to begin.

Adi?
He stayed inside.
He just kept sleeping.

Minna came along into the barn.
As always, when she feels like it.

Feed the sheep.
Check things.
All in order.

The snow lay hard on the paths.
The barn was warm.
Minna right in the middle of it.

Adi, meanwhile, was lying in bed.
Deeply relaxed.
As if there were no world beyond the blanket.

After that, we went back inside.
Adi still asleep.
Minna satisfied.

Then we take the photo.

Now the day’s work begins.

For you, it’s six now.
Here, the day is already half over.

I wish you a good morning.
We’ll read each other. We’ll read each other.

And as always:
If things about me are being spread online again—
you’ll find my own classification at marlas.army..

Everything else is just noise.

Minna is awake.
Adi keeps sleeping.
And outside, this fine, stinging snow is falling.

To be continued. 🐾🖤

In addition to this post, a separate Videostatement was published that visually documents the described morning and provides additional impressions of the situation.

🐱 Cat stuff I can genuinely recommend (tested by Adi & Minna)

✅ 1) Cat scratching tree / climbing tree

Adi is heavy—so the thing has to be sturdy.
Look for: thick sisal posts, a wide base plate,, no wobbling..

➡️ Scratching tree (sturdy & large): (https://amzn.to/4sUbln1)

✅ 2) Cat food – preferably grain-free

Grain-free is often the better choice, since many cats react sensitively to fillers. And: it’s perfect for indoor cats that don’t “hunt outside on the side.”

➡️ Grain-free cat food: (https://amzn.to/4a8sPV7)

✅ 3) Litter box + litter

If it’s supposed to stay clean, you need two things:

  • a good litter box (preferably large)
  • clumping litterthat binds odors

➡️ Litter box (large & practical): (https://amzn.to/45rypQ1)
➡️ Clumping litter / odor control: (https://amzn.to/45prtTn)

💬 And you? When it’s –15 degrees outside—what’s your lifesaver: a blanket, tea, or a cat? 🖤
