Or: How something was already articulated in 2015 that today is considered reason of state<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe.Serve.Germany.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is not a sentence.
That is not a statement.
Those are three words separated by periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that was exactly the test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A supplementary video statement<\/a> <\/strong>, published separately, documents the action in public space at the time and places it in political and linguistic context from today\u2019s perspective.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone dumb enough to automatically read \u201cWe serve Germany\u201d into it is probably also dumb enough to let themselves be mobilized for \u0447\u0443\u0436 foreign interests.
Hartzer to cannon fodder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I still know exactly when that was.
2014 or 2015.
City run in Halle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bundeswehr<\/strong> had set up a recruitment booth there. Military police, branches of service, glossy brochures. \u201cCareer,\u201d \u201csecurity,\u201d \u201cemployer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I simply placed myself there.
As if I belonged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not in disguise.
Not parodistic, not in a clown costume.
But exactly in a way that looked completely authentic<\/strong> to outsiders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that was precisely the point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The double layer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The soldiers were not amused.
They also didn\u2019t quite know how to get rid of me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two of them eventually marched over to a nearby police patrol.
To ask for advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police waved it off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe can\u2019t do anything about that.
That\u2019s Marla Svenja.
She just does things like this.
Artistic freedom and all that.
She\u2019ll be gone again soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And that was exactly the point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I stood there.
I belonged\u2014at least to everyone passing by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And those people later went home and said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt the city run, the Bundeswehr was there.
They were saying things\u2026
Like, really intense stuff.
About cannon fodder, about burning people up, about utility.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t me who said it.\nThe system said it\u2014through me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back then, sarcasm. Today, reality.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Back then I thought I was being extremely sarcastic.
Over the top.
Borderline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today\u2014ten, eleven years later\u2014we see:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t sarcastic enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today they tell us quite openly
that the arms industry is a blessing for<\/strong> Germany.
Because it creates jobs.
Because it drives the economy.
Because it generates growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is no longer cynicism.
This is official policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big lie about \u201cjobs\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The arms industry creates no value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is fully financed by the net taxpayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The state pays for the arms contracts.
The state takes tax money for this.
The state then declares that it has created jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is not a market.
That is a cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every job in the arms industry is, in effect, a state-funded position.
No different from a civil servant\u2019s salary\u2014just with higher destructive potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nothing is produced that has not been paid for in advance.
Nothing is created that has not been collected in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yet it is sold as an economic success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cannon fodder with career prospects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Back then, at the city run, people were still smiling.
Recruitment as a friendly offer.
\u201cFind a job with the Bundeswehr.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, people speak openly about it:
That we need people.
That we need sacrifices.
That someone has to \u201cserve.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not peace.
Not the population.
But industry.
Geopolitics.
The interests of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And suddenly, what I once called \u201cart\u201d
is nothing more than an early test run of reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three words. No sentence. A warning.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Federal.
Armed.
Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We.
Serve.
Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone who automatically turns that into meaning
also turns nonsense into duty.
Coercion into honor.
Burning people up into responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back then, I was just standing there.
Today, we are all standing in front of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And this time, it is no longer an art project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
