Two thousand nineteen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The year is marked by shifting political and social dynamics. Topics such as climate, migration, and international tensions are moving further into focus and shaping public debate in many parts of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Germany, domestic political debates continue to intensify. The differences between East and West remain visible, particularly in elections in eastern German states that strengthen new political forces. At the same time, the influence of social movements is growing, especially in the area of climate protection, which are increasingly putting pressure on political decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Europe continues to be in a state of reorientation. The United Kingdom\u2019s withdrawal is delayed, highlighting the complexity of political interdependencies. At the same time, tensions between individual member states are increasing as differing visions for the future and direction of the Union collide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Internationally, existing conflicts are intensifying and new ones are emerging. Trade disputes between major economic powers persist, while geopolitical tensions in various regions continue. Global movements, particularly in the climate sector, also show how societal pressure is developing across national borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year makes clear that political and social developments are increasingly intertwined.

A year in which many voices grow louder, yet none determines the whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2019 brings new movements and old tensions. Germany in transition, Europe divided, the world in motion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
